Eastern Hokkaido offers a wide range of nature-based experiences throughout the year and provides opportunities to engage with the unique culture of the Ainu. We support you in planning and booking carefully selected activities and excursions across the region.
This allows you to explore a distinctive part of Japan away from well-known tourist routes, even without Japanese language skills, and return after a full day to the calm of the farm – a place to recharge and share your stories.
Surrounded by several national parks, eastern Hokkaido invites you to explore the region at your own pace.
Whether on snowshoe walks, canoe trips, hikes, or relaxed e-bike rides, nature can be experienced directly and without haste. Wildlife observation and distinctive natural phenomena are among the region’s quiet highlights.
In addition, museums and selected local initiatives offer insights into the culture of the Ainu, the indigenous people of Hokkaido.

Farmstay + combines the calm and grounding experience of a stay on our small sustainable farm in east Hokkaido with our support to explore this unique region of Japan off the beaten tourist path.
At this early stage, we upgrade every Farmstay booking longer than 2 nights to Farmstay + and support you during your stay with not just additional info on unique and recommended activities but also with the planning and organisation. This way, you can explore the region like a local and rest assured that you make the most of your time!

Please note, cost for the activities are not included in the price for Farmstay. Cost that arise from activities carried out by third party providers. The same applies to necessary transportation on scene.
Service fees by third party providers typically range around 4000 – 10.000 JPY.
Local transport companies sometimes offers special tour discounts.
We strongly recommend to consult with us as early as possible, when you want to participate in certain activities!

Japan relies heavily on reservations being made in advance. While last minute bookings technically are possible, we can’t guarantee the availability of certain activities in this case!

Additionaly we offer a consierge-service before and during your stay to help you with reservations and bookings of third party provided activities and transportation.
